You'll smell strawberries first in the nose, then slightly darker red fruits like raspberries, currents, and cherries, both red and black. With nice acid on the first taste, subtle spices like peppercorn and cardamom come forward, and then bright red fruit. This wine is great with BBQ, Asian meals, spicy food, as well as grilled vegetables and meats, including both lighter meats like pork and chicken, as well as darker meats like salumi, duck, and lamb.

40% Cinsault, 30% Syrah, and 30% Grenache, all of the grapes are from decades-old vines at the foot of the Cevennes mountains inside Pic Saint-Loup, which lends a longer maturation period to the wine, and allows for a longer drinking window over at least three years. Organically farmed with sustainable practices, picked and destalked by hand, this wine is vinified naturally and traditionally, and ages for seven months in tanks before bottling.
